29ers have been proven to be the best choice for OUR terrain. They roll over roots and rocks better than anything else out there. Forget what you may have heard, they Rock 'n' Roll.
All Road/Surface?
The modern road bike in exotic carbon form is a RACE bike, not a ride/touring bike. Our roads are rough with steep mountains up and down. For these style roads an all road bike that has 700c wheels, low gears and strong brakes are best. Some models are even disc brake equipped and built to do gravel roads even better than mountain bikes. These bikes are COMFORTABLE. They are custom fit to your riding style and body. Want to go for an all day ride, on any road surface whether it's pavement, dirt or gravel - any surface - all road? These are the bikes for you!

Vassago does steel 29er and all road frames. We custom build to your specification.
We can also do custom builds on Surly, Salsa, Voodoo and Origin8 frames, MTB style or all road.
Any shop can order a from from some of these brands, but only The True Wheel can build them better and cheaper.

Proof?
The True Wheel put 3 local riders on custom True Wheel builds on the podium for the 2010 WVMBA season. Not too bad for the smallest shop in WV.

I have built 1000's of custom bikes over the years and with that experience, together, we can get the fit and function you want. It really is amazing when the bike is all "YOU".
